Shields Defender and Guard only.

Fighters and Warriors don't NEED the shield, its just stupid they get a ton more slots and defence for no reason, def/guards need it for their skill so thats fair enough...

Sorry venom but you are wrong.

There exist 2 important skills, only available with blunt weaps. All classes have advantages and disadvantages. Your advantages is your hight dex and your strong skills.

If you don't like your class you can go and try to play with other class but don't try to ruin the other classes pls.

The ranger-assassins are the best class for do 1 vs 1, but in the pvp of this server don't exist that 1 vs 1, may be for that you feel too disadvantaged.

try a 1 vs 1 with a War / fighter, you won't feel a big difference.

pvp with spears ? I don't like that, I'm not Akyra.

If you remove shields for Fighter/War i guess some guys will quit their class and make a Guard/Def.

Watch the party vs. party events.
The last time when i participated there were light pts like: 5 Def's, 1 Prie and maybe 1 Archer or something like this.
And then wonder why the darks loose -> continues DF/Pog/UT

If you kill the War/Fighter bouild ... it will run like this:
-> ppl quit War/Fighter and make a Guard/Def
-> much more Guard's/Def's in PvP Zone
-> much DF/UT etc.
-> you cant kill anybody. just yourselfe cause of DF
-> much more QQ

ok then perhaps just remove for naked pvp? cus archers have bow skills and xbow/jav skills lol, thye don't go for all skills, its just stupid the idea of the game is you make a character on a specific build, warriors and fighters are just acting like defs here just without UT etc..

see it in that way ven do u want more deffs/guards with ut df etc or more warrs? which are much easier to kill? >>>> MORE WARR/FIGHTER ofc. next thing if u just use a blunt wep as guard/deff /warr/fighter u got less dmg cause this weps are build for shields so there would be the disadvantage

if more make guards/defs bc they want shield, then lower defence on gear, problems like these can be sorted

yeah and u still will have the 5 uts skills + 1 more ut pot and only gurads hell that will suck!

so you make defence lower so that once UT is out they can be killed

but u will have more deff/guards then warr/fighter cause deff got more deff and more ut pots that it not worth...

First of all, I am sorry If I am repeating someone. I didnt read all the posts.

The reason why Shields shouldnt be equipable only for Defenders and Guardians is simple because that class is simply overpowered at this points. I would rather suggest to remove the Untouchable and Melee Reflector skills completely.
Yes, Defenders/Guardians are supposed to be tankers, but with the high amount of stats every character has, those two skills are really "too much". Dayfly Shield and Power of Guard are fine as they support a group of people, not only the single Defender/Guardian.

To remind that Defenders/Guardians have a majority of skills that increase their Hit Points, Defense and Resistance drastically:
Body Training Lv7 - Increases physical defense by 63
Shield Defense Lv6 - Increases physical defense by 168 when using a shield
Hard Skin Lv7 - Increases defense by 48 and +1115HP for 15 min
Magic Skin Lv6 - Increases resistance by 118 for 15 min
Tactical Formation Lv3 - Increases party DEF by 42 for 10 min
Secure Guard Lv3 - Lower ATT by 500 to increase DEF by 500 for 40s

All together this makes an additional 821 Defense, 118 Resistance and 1115 HP just from Defender/Guardian Skils/Buffs without other classes buffs. Together with all Untouch Skills Defenders/Guardians have 92 seconds of Immortality. In PvP it is a huge advantage to be immortal for an entire push.
By removing Untouchable and Melee Reflector, Defenders/Guardians would lose 32 seconds of self-untouches, what would remain is the untouch skills that benefit an group of people, not only the single caster.

before remove skills that work fine try to repair skills like Etains Shield or Mass Ambush.
that are vry nice skills for pvp but they dont work on SK.
Etains Shield -> UT for Pries/Orcs
Mass Ambush -> Grp Stealth

Wouldnt it be cool to wait at maybe the bridge in jungle in Grp stealth and when the other faction comes just PUNISH.
I saw vry good and strategycally pvp with mass ambush. Safed some pvp also from dieing cause the other faction dont leave the raid. They need to think about a good strategy and than they push the other faction.

The Topic is indeed old, but I joined the Forums recently and saw this Topic, so I had to leave my opinion
Etain Shield is very important for Priests/Oracles in PvP as they are mostly the Main targets. Untouchable Potions dont really help much, so fixing Etain Shield would/could motivate some people to start/continue playing a Priest/Oracle.

Untouchable lvl 3 is now available, giving 8 seconds of pure untouchable-ness

Fighters and Warriors REQUIRE NO SHIELD FOR ANY SKILLS. They may require a one handed blunt/sharp weapon, but they doesn't mean you need a shield.

Defenders and Guardians REQUIRE A SHIELD FOR SKILLS SUCH AS PROTECTION CHARGE. they need the shield in order for the skill to be used, so they use it.

Why should a class be allowed 6 extra slots just because they have the choice. Rangers, ARchers, Priest and Mages can't use a shield, maybe they would like 6 extra slots just for being a similiar class...

The suggestion has obviously been left behind and won't be implemented, so personally continuing the current topic is useless. most suggestions that would help make classes fairer to what they should be are just left behind, but what am i to say...

It wont be implemented because it doesnt make any sense.
Just because youre butthurt because you probably get killed by Warrios a lot, why dont you change your Class as Perle suggested?
Now if you want to comment my suggestion about removing Untouchable and Melee Reflector: Im playing a Defender myself and this change would affect myself, but I simply suggested it because I feel these skills are NOT needed with the amount of Defense every character can acquire with Lv8/9 Lapises and gives an unfair advantage toward Classes that dont have UT Skills.

butthurt because i get killed by warriors a lot? YEAH, OK THEN. i have more dex than most people on the server, their skills often miss, if anything it's ganking i'm scared off. 1v1 barely anybody can kill me cus they miss...

yes i would LOVE 6 slots for my orc but thats crap and i would never change my class to get the damn 6 slots.
I still dont care if anything happens with the shields. But if you make nacked pvp then remove them for fighter/war AND guards/def.
idk how much nacked pvp is at the server atm but this would be a start to think about their char. idc if defs get shields lvl 1 "for their buffs"

Naked PvP without Shields seems ok, without capes and accesories even better but thats hard to keep track of.
